The Rhine Riesling from one of the best locations of the wine-growing area of Škalce.
It lies on a southern and steep slope. The wine shows nicely the characteristics of the variety and freshness, mainly due to the sandy marl soil. As a young wine it is very fruity and fresh, after at least six months of maturing in big wooden barrels on fine lees the complexity and richness of the wine develop distinctively. After further maturing a few years in bottles it receives its typical mineral note (petroleum), which is highly appreciated among connoisseurs of the Rhine Riesling.
